Excellent article by Tony Kane. I hope you read Don DeFronzo’s letter to the editor this morning (Monday, Oct. 25) in defense of Tim O’Brien…it is very defensive of Tim O’Brien’s actions…they must be worried that the voters realize what’s going on, and that O’Brien will be voted out of office.

My name is Miguel Angel Nieves, I am a 4 years long resident in D-24th and a resident in New Britain since 1990. It is my understanding that if you are elected for a district you must represent that district. Mr. O’Brian has fail to do just that. I have not seen any improvement in my district at all. Mr. O’Brien seems to believe that his opponent, Cris Carillo, should not use his own record against him. However, Mr. O’Brien sees no problem with running on his own record, so long as it reflects well on him. As a resident in D-24th, Mr. O’Brien should realize beside helping the city he needs to take care of his own district. It is my own believe that Mr. O’Brian has nothing to brag about. These are the simple facts, not lies or deceit. Mr. O’Brien says he fights for New Britain, but his fight has yielded no results in finding solutions to our district needs.

On November 2nd, I will be supporting Cris Carillo because he will fight for our district and help bring back the needed educational grants and property tax relief to New Britain.

We request that you stop sending our Candidates into debates that are located in hostile forums and sponsored by partisan organizations. It puts them at a great disadvantage and discourages attendance by their supporters.
