Wilfredo “Willie” Pabon has been a resident of New Britain for most of his life. He is a local business owner (New Britain Fence Co.) for the past 27 years. Willie was raised and schooled locally here in the city. Willie currently resides at 205 Birchwood Drive with his wife Norma of 36 years. His son is a member of the New Britain Fire Department, and his daughter is an elementary school teacher. He is also the proud grandfather of three.
Serving on the Common Council over the past two years created many opportunities for Willie to help the people of New Britain. Some of his responsibilities included overseeing the budget, the development and building of the new police station, and helping pass a resolution to have all national flags represented in the council chamber. Willie has spent countless number of hours and years helping to make the city of New Britain a better place.
Willie currently is liaison to the New Britain Police and Building Departments, a member of the Citizens Property Owners Association and the Claims Committee. Willie volunteers as a Community Service Officer with the New Britain Police Department and is a Parishioner at St. Joseph’s Church. Recently, Willie became the 1st Vice-President for the PCAC (Police Commissioners Association of Connecticut) which currently has 280 members. Previously, Willie was a board member for the Greater New Britain Teenage Pregnancy Prevention Inc., a board member for the Construction Workshop, a board member for the Human Resources Agency and a member of the Hartford Evening Lions Club. Over the past two years, Willie has and will continue to put the people of New Britain before the politics.
